Research Description: |
I work on amphibian development and evolution, with special emphases on skeletal differentiation, direct-development, and symbiosis. This research employs both descriptive morphology and molecular techniques. The latter includes transgenics, gene expression, immunohistochemistry and gene silencing. Most projects are imaging intensive, with primary data taken with transmission electron-, confocal-, epi-fluorescent-, and light microscopes. |
